The Lead Technology Leadership Professional is responsible for all aspects of software or hardware product delivery and performance. The Lead Technology Leadership Professional works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Lead Technology Leadership Professional works with design engineering and test team to drive products from design completion to volume production release. Performs various engineering tests to verify and validate product designs. Supports product evaluation and qualification on leading edge technology components. Ensures that production schedules are followed and product(s) meet specifications and quality requirements. Interacts with product engineering, quality, manufacturing and marketing teams to analyze and provide technical support to help resolve customers' product related problems/issues. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Design new Splunk deployments based on customer requirements; aid customers in refining existing Splunk deployments while applying Splunk best practices
Assist internal users of Splunk in designing and maintaining production-quality dashboards.
Design and implement solutions to address business problems.
This role requires the ability to design, architect and implement Splunk solutions.
Manages Splunk knowledge objects (Apps, Dashboards, Saved Searches, Scheduled Searches, Alerts)
Develops custom Splunk apps to meet customer needs in a variety of domains: IT security, ITOps etc.
This job profile focus is primarily on engineering, architecting, maintaining, and monitoring a large Splunk deployment in a distributed and clustered environment.
Strong Troubleshooting skills on Splunk environment.
Strong Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical designs, and SOPs
Ability to work collaboratively with a globally distributed team
8+ years of technical experience
2+ years of project leadership experience
Experience with the technologies in use in the application(s) or infrastructure
Experience with unit testing and mocking
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Should have knowledge working on ITSM ticketing and DevOps tools.
Must have strong Linux system administration and engineering skills.
Must be very comfortable administering servers from the command line and working with configuration files. (Ansible Automation, Python etc.)
Experience in building Splunk Technology Add-ons and configuring field extractions for various data sources
Experience deploying/managing Splunk indexer clusters and search head clusters
Deployment experience with Splunk Enterprise Security and/or Splunk IT Service Intelligence premium solutions
Strong understanding of the underlying Splunk infrastructure and components (e.g. lookups, modular inputs, standard inputs, relationships between varying configuration files, etc.)
Strong sense of self-motivation; ability to identify problems and develop solutions
