CenterWell Per Diem Floater Pharmacy Technician in Greenville, South Carolina

The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 ( Greenville/Anderson, SC) obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments and computations.

Work hours: This is a per diem/floater position. The pharmacies operate Monday - Friday from 8:30AM - 5:00 PM and your shift could fall anytime within these hours. The need for this position is to cover PTO and Leave for 3 full time Pharmacy Technicians and will average 1-2 days per week.

Location : This position floats between two CenterWell Pharmacy locations

Greenville Location: 101 Orchard Park, Greenville, SC. 29615

Anderson Location: 2001 E Greenville St. Anderson, SC. 29621

The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 :

  • Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs.

  • Assists the Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.

  • Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from the computer.

  • Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to the Pharmacist.

  • Operates a cash register.

Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. The Pharmacy Technician 2 has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have an active South Carolina Pharmacy Technician license

  • Must be active or be able to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/CenterWell's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

  • Ability to travel between CenterWell Pharmacy Centers (formerly known as Humana Pharmacy)

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Immunizations-Certified

  • BLS/CPR Certified

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$37,200 - $51,200 per year
